A time ago, a dear friend gave me these tokens to inspire me to take a journey. Before I met him, Don Meserve had participated in a stone sculpture symposium in New Zealand. He told me that he had plucked jade from a stream during his stay, and then handed me 2 pieces. One he carved into the shape of a bear claw, the other was rough cut with a hole drilled through it. Along with the stone he handed me some paper money. 8 years later I take I take both back to the island, and start a new adventure.
